Live Mealworms
Mealworms (Tenebrio molitor) are a popular live bait for panfish and other freshwater species.
Their smaller size makes them particularly well suited for:
Bluegill • Shellcracker • Speckled Perch • Other Panfish
Choose from 25, 50 and 100-count bait-sized quantities, or larger counts when you need more.
Live Superworms
Superworms (Zophobas morio) are larger, thicker and more substantial than ordinary mealworms.
Their size makes them an alternative for anglers looking for a larger live insect bait.

Fishing the Ocala National Forest
We're fortunate to be located near one of Florida's most distinctive freshwater fishing areas.
The Ocala National Forest contains more than 600 lakes, rivers and springs, with waters supporting popular sport fish including bluegill, redear sunfish — better known locally as shellcracker — black crappie or speckled perch, and largemouth bass.

Mealworms or Superworms?
If you're choosing between the two, start with the size of bait you want.
Mealworms are the smaller, more traditional choice for panfish. They're the first option we'd choose for someone targeting bluegill, shellcracker and similar fish.
Superworms are substantially larger and offer a bigger presentation on the hook.
Both are sold alive and available in small quantities so you don't have to purchase hundreds of feeders just to spend a morning fishing.
Bait-Sized Counts
You don't need a bulk reptile-feeder order when you're headed to the water.
That's why our live mealworms and superworms are available in smaller 25, 50 and 100-count options.

Keep Your Live Bait Alive
Mealworms and superworms have different storage requirements.
Mealworms can be kept cool to slow their development.
Superworms should NOT be refrigerated. Keep them at appropriate room temperature and follow the care instructions provided with your order.
